How Supported?

This guided interview maps every person who loves, helps, and speaks for your child. Every safe place they can go. Every resource they need. Before crisis happens, not after.

What you build here should hold up in a courtroom and show a judge that you were serious about protecting your child.

Tier 1 — Immediate Family

Home, grandparents, immediate family within reach.

Tier 2 — Extended Family

Aunts, uncles, cousins, family friends who are like family.

Tier 3 — Trusted Community

Close friends, neighbors, community members, church family.

Tier 4 — Institutional

Tier 5 — Other Approved Placements

Any other approved placement or resource if all other tiers are unavailable.

Step 6 of 9

How Is This Child Supported?

Document the child's current needs, available resources, and any care instructions that a caregiver would need.

Step 7 of 9

The Hard Question

This is the question most people never ask themselves, and it is the most important one in this entire interview.

Step 8 of 9

Crisis Planning

Plan for three tiers of disruption. Be specific. Name names. Describe exactly what happens.

A car accident, a hospital visit, an arrest. What happens in the first 24 to 72 hours?

Extended hospitalization, rehabilitation, legal proceedings. Who steps in?

Permanent incapacitation or death. The full plan.
